KARAMBITS
The Karambit — Proportions Before Everything
A karambit only works if everything is in the right place. The proportions must be correct, the finger ring must be positioned precisely, and the relationship between handle and blade must be fully resolved before a single cut is made. I do not follow standard templates. I find the most efficient balance for the specific purpose of each design.
Purpose-Driven Materials and Original Geometry
Whether the blade is curved or straight, I use only materials suited to the unique leverage demands of the ringed handle. Every Bladetricks karambit is an original concept — stripped of unnecessary features, built from the ground up as a dedicated tool. The geometry is not borrowed. The proportions are not approximate.
Beyond the Curve
The karambit’s curved blade excels at the hooking, ripping motion of close-quarters use. My work extends beyond that convention — integrating pikal geometry, double edges, and hybrid formats that combine the retention of a ring with the aggressive mechanics of the reverse grip edge-in system. Clean lines. Solid construction. A reliable extension of the hand.
