BLADETRICKS SISMA
$ 290
The Bladetricks SISMA is the purely tactical evolution of my RIFT BAR EDC / Bug Out Bag mace, joining the lineage of other impact tools like the T-Bar and Mini Crack Mace. My philosophy demands maximum performance, and the SISMA is a reflection of that demand: I created it to be lighter and faster than its predecessors, shifting its function entirely towards high-velocity, close-quarters combat (CQC). This increased length provides superior reach, leverage, strike force, and speed, while its reduced weight enhances overall striking velocity and handling.
Purpose-Built Tactical Mace for Terminal Capability
I profiled the SISMA to maximize damage output while maintaining zero-maintenance. One of the core differences lies in the head geometry and the longer handle. On the Bladetricks SISMA the mace’s head has been ground on three different sides for improved penetration. Combined, these modifications significantly increase its penetrating and ripping (tearing) capabilities with every strike.
The Rift Bar Lineage
The Rift Bar was the foundation — a robust, reliable impact tool built for utility and hard use. The SISMA is what happens when that foundation is stripped of everything that slows it down. I reduced the mass, extended the handle, and redirected the entire purpose toward a single outcome: speed of delivery in a confined space. The Rift Bar was built to endure. The SISMA is built to finish.
Why 1070 for an Impact Tool
The choice of 1070 spring steel is deliberate. An impact tool does not need the fine edge retention of a blade steel — it needs the capacity to absorb violent, repeated shock without structural failure. 1070 bends where harder alloys shatter. In a CQC impact tool, a steel that survives the encounter is worth more than one that performs brilliantly until the third strike.
The Three-Sided Grind
Most impact tools use a conical or round tip — geometry that compresses and displaces material on entry, creating resistance. The SISMA’s three-sided grind produces a shearing effect instead. The result is deeper penetration with less force required, and a wound channel that does not close behind the tool. Three bevels. Three reasons the SISMA lands differently than anything else in this category.
Material and Specifications
The SISMA is a straightforward, dedicated tactical impact and breaching tool built for combat, featuring a three-sided grind head geometry for increased penetration. Built from tough and durable 1070 spring steel, the SISMA mace is optimized for maximum toughness and superior resistance to impact stress and deflection. The shaft is wrapped with a twisted 550 paracord which combines a low profile, lightness, and a good grip in all conditions. The entire package is completed with a functional matte (anti-glare) finish and a Kydex sheath. It virtually requires zero maintenance, making it a reliable component of any EDC or urban survival kit.
The SISMA is a tool that does not ask questions.
