# BLADETRICKS CUSTOM KADESH TANTO, MICARTA

## A Tanto Built for Combat

The Kadesh Tanto merges the geometry of WWII-era combat daggers — a lineage that includes the[Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife](https://www.pritzkermilitary.org/explore/museum/past-exhibits/citizen-soldier/fairbairn-sykes-fighting-knives) — with the reinforced profile of the modern tanto. The result is a fighting knife with a strong, angular tip optimized for piercing and a slender cutting edge inherited from the original Kadesh Dagger. This is not a tanto built for aesthetics — it is built for the mechanics of a hard thrust.

## Blade and Handle

The multi-grind blade delivers a sharp, durable edge across every grip position — from hammer to sabre. The handle is hand-sculpted natural micarta, pinned and epoxied for a permanent bond. It locks into the hand without ceremony.

## Material — 8670 Steel

**8670 steel** is a high-carbon, high-toughness alloy built for impact. It holds a strong edge, absorbs lateral stress without failure, and sharpens easily in the field. Full details on this alloy are available on the [Workshop](https://bladetricks.net/workshop/) page.
